INTRODUCTION

Photography is an important part of my life. It inspires me to write and I long for opportunities to go out and explore new locations. I believe photography is a means to raise awareness on issues. With an appreciation of flora and fauna and underwater habitat of Maldives, I want to convey information on the importance of protecting our fragile environment. Unfortunately many islands where people live, have already lost their natural features including the beach, native plants and trees. And it is a treat to walk around islands with their natural environment intact. I started taking photographs many years back. It is from 1998 I enjoyed shooting with a digital camera. Since then I have accumulated a large collection of photographs taken from several locations in the Maldives, India, Britain and Europe.

UPLOADED PHOTOS

I have uploaded more than 3500 photographs of places, flora and fauna found in the Maldives, India, China and Europe. The photographs are firstly grouped by location and then categorized under subheadings or themes. As mentioned in the description of the site, I have special section for students/researchers interested in pictures of the Maldives.

NEW EQUIPMENT

I also find it important to keep informed of new photography equipment. These are web links I usually use for news on new equipment and technical information.
